About Kimberly Dawn Neumann

Kimberly Dawn Neumann

Kimberly Dawn Neumann is a prominent New York City-based freelance writer whose work has appeared in such publications as Cosmopolitan, Women's Health, Weight Watchers, Jump and frequently online for msn.com, Match.com and AOL. A former National Competitive Aerobics Champion who has also appeared in more than 10 exercise videos including Shape magazine's Legs, Legs, Legs, she holds certifications from the American Council on Exercise and as an Active Isolated Flexibility Technician.

After graduating first in her class (Summa cum Laude) with an M.A. in journalism from the University of Maryland, Kimberly moved to New York to pursue dual careers as a performer and writer. She jokes that by putting together two very unpredictable professions she's almost managed to find a stable lifestyle. In actuality, however she thrives on the constant challenge and has happily had success in both areas.

In addition to her prolific writing career, Kimberly has appeared in three Broadway shows and five National Tours (which meant writing many articles in hotel rooms while traveling). She's been a regular in a variety of comedy skits on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and even performed in the Closing Ceremonies of the Barcelona Olympic Games.

A self-proclaimed fitness junkie, Kimberly loves spending her free time in yoga, pilates, dance classes, swimming laps, rollerblading, cycling, etc…. For a while she was even addicted to flying trapeze lessons!

Still even with her uber-active lifestyle she knows the importance of balance. She freely admits to eating Cool Whip Free out of the tub, has an unnatural addiction to I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray and believes that a good Cosmopolitan after a long day might just be the best possible use of empty calories.
