Black "Yes"

You have answered "Yes" to a question that indicates you need an appointment to see your health professional within the next 1 to 2 weeks. Call your health professional's office to discuss your symptoms and arrange for your care.

  • Symptoms may indicate a health problem that will not improve without medical treatment.
    • Symptoms have been present for 2 weeks (or the specified time period). They are not getting worse, but they are not improving with home treatment; or
    • Symptoms are related to a previously diagnosed health problem and are getting worse or becoming bothersome.
  • If appropriate, try home treatment while you are waiting for the appointment.
  • Call your health professional if symptoms get worse.

Return to the Check Your Symptoms section and complete the questions. You may need to see your health professional sooner if you have other more serious symptoms.
