Weight Watchers Diet Food
Our Reviewer Says ...
“Since POINTS are a veritable free-for-all, dieters could conceivably subsist entirely on bon bons -- provided they stay within their daily allotment.”
What You Can Eat
By Amy Paturel
Weight Watchers steers dieters toward low-fat, high-fiber foods including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein. One of the benefits of Weight Watchers is that you can eat pretty much anything you want -- including your favorite drive-through hamburger and even a Krispy Kreme -- provided they fall within your allotted daily POINTS values, which vary, but are typically between 20 and 24. Here's a sampling of the POINTS values of some common fast-food items: a Wendy's Jr. Hamburger has 6; a KFC tender roast chicken sandwich, without sauce, has 5, three ounces of cooked boneless, skinless breast meat has 2.5, one cup cooked whole wheat pasta has 3.
