How to Catch a Liar

Yes a lot of that makes perfect sense and can be justifiable in certain correlations, but as with anything, and anybody there are variables. Some people just choose to use more discriptive text, coloration, something to add a visual aspect to their statement. Verbally some people may just like to draw up an image through whatever choice they decide to use. Ever hear of 'Style', or 'Stylized'. #2, and #9 of the claims are definitely off as far as a definitive example of someone attepmting to be deceptive. Quite simply, use your head, be aware, and don't get caught up in a situation where you feel like you have to even question somebody. I'd even say that #8 is questionable too. It may be valid if someone is using the flat story as a reason why they're late, eh, but sometimes unavoidable situations do occur. Someone's thought process, or brain pattern may make them more apt to repeat words, or phrases. It's not a fair assumption to catagorize them as a "liar". Get real.

There is an entire science dedicated to this for law enforcement. It deals with posture, eye movement (if the person's eyes move to the upper left, they are searching for an explanation), and even writing.

The best one I've found is actual eye movement. For one thing most people telling a lie won't look you in the face. This isn't always true there are some people that never look straight at you, for example it's common with people with ADD. However, the real kicker is if they are then you can see where their eyes go as they talk. If they make a quick glance to the left (your right) before saying something it's likely that they are using their creative part of their brain and making something up. If they look towards their right (your left) then they are more likely to be using the part of their mind that stores and recalls memories.
It's not 100% but if someone does it consistently three or four times when you ask them related question you can be pretty sure that something is up. You can also use it to tell if they are likely telling the truth. However, there are a few people that almost never do this. And remember it's a quick glance usually it's hard to catch even when you are lookin

I don't agree with this story--
When I say,"let me be honest", That means, this time you are really getting the truth, I don't care how it makes you feel.
I'm not sparing you feelings anymore. Screw it.
