Dr. Tharratt is an internist who specializes in pulmonology, medical toxicology, and emergency medical services. He is a professor of Medicine and Anesthesiology at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, interim chief of the Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine, and chief of the Section of Clinical Pharmacology and Medical Toxicology in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. In addition, he serves as medical director of both the Sacramento County Emergency Medical Services and the Sacramento city and county fire departments.
